Hi Ranchers!

I will start to prepared to get SCJD, today I just received book
"SCJD Exam with J2SE 5" from Andrew Monkhouse and Terry Camerlengo.

Do you recommend me to first start throw the book and later get the assignment project or definitely get the project from SUN and with the book.

Thanks to all!!

No question about that for me, get the assignment as soon as possible and read the book as you go along.

Alex

I totally agree. In fact, you can buy your voucher for the assignment (this certification takes 2 vouchers), and I'm not quite sure, but I remember that it takes, like, 15 business days for us to receive a voucher here in Brazil (you're brazilian too, right Jorge? )... right after that, you'll have to get in touch with Sun, saying that you want to take this certification. They will send you (on the same day) an email, saying that you have to reply to that with your data (things like your Prometric ID, your name, etc). After that, in 10 business days, they will send you an email with an URL and instructions for you to login to their database. I remember that it took me a month to be with the instructions of my project opened in my browser. So here's my suggestion: request your project as soon as you can, and meanwhile read the book (also read the discussions that go around here, which are very productive). By the time you have your instructions opened in your browser, you'll have already finished the book (or at least almost)!!!

Have a good day, partners!

What a coincidence! I'll get married in about 2 years, and then I'll move to Campinas!
