I submitted my assignment on Dec 26th and wrote the exam on Dec 28th. My exam is still in pending status. That's 7 weeks. I'm getting frustrated!!! I'm really frustrated because I think I've seen one other individual who submitted after me and got his results back in 2 or 3 weeks.

I've already sent two emails to the who2contact email address.

Sorry, I just needed to vent.

Thanks for the help. I check both web sites everyday for the last two weeks. My result is on neither web site.

Hmm that is sad. I have taken my exam on the 15. January and the result in the database is from the 25. January. So only 10 days.

I have still not received my results. I check both web sites daily. I've sent emails to both email addresses, and I have not received any responses.

I'm really frustrated with Sun. Evidently their policy is to not respond to emails. Is there a phone number I can call?

You should write to [email protected], and they will check the results from the http://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment/
and add it in their Database.

There you can find the testhistory and results of all your exams.

I check both the CertManager web site and the i7 Certification Database. The are no results posted on either site.

I can relate to your story: I took the exam on November 27, 2007.
I passed 3 weeks later but did not receive anything.

I had to send 3 emails in 2 weeks to [email protected] before they replied.
They updated their database, and did send me my certificate.
Helas, it had the wrong date on it (march 2007, before I had even started the whole thing.)

I mailed Sun again, but did not get any reply yet (it's been a month)

Today, I emailed my 'local' sun office (I'm in the Netherlands), they promised me they would take of it.

We'll see.

Please post when you receive your results.

The i7 web page seems to be having problems today. I am getting a 404.

Just wondering, what should I be doing, seeing as the web database is down until March 2nd? I've already sent two emails. At this rate, it might take 10 weeks to get my results. And I'm getting very impatient.

I'm in Canada and I believe the local office is handled in the US, so I don't think I have anyone else to go to except Prometric and Sun US (who2contact email address)

Me too. Did my test (SCJD/FBNS) 1/31/08 and still no result on either website. 10 weeks on Thursday.

Did you get you result finally?

I wrote the essay on feb 6 and got the result on march 31.I emailed prometric and sun twice each.

This is getting silly, I've waited for 11 weeks now! Sent mail twice to [email protected] and no reply.

I contacted my test center and got the following instructions:

'Send an email to "[email protected]" and use subject "URGENT Missing testresult & certificate" and attach contact info and Prometric ID in the mail.'

I did so the 18th of April and got a reply later the same day:

"Dear Sir,

We have forwarded your inquiry to our Data team so that they can track your exam results.
We hope to give you a status by early next week."

Promising, right? But still no result, it's 12 weeks now...

Finally got the results! I got a reply on the 1st of May saying:

"Due to a technical issue in the Prometric testing system, the two components of your assignment were not matched together and sent to the assessors until April 23, 2008. We have requested that the scoring of your assignment be expedited and expect your results within 7 business days."

Then on Friday 2nd of May (after 13 weeks) I got the result. Very fast when they had solved the internal problems.


The score BTW:

* FlyByNight assignment
* Passed with 385/400 (General Con 92/100 and GUI 33/40)

I also had the same problem. After about 10 weeks I send an email to [email protected] and I got the following reply:

"Dear Deirdre,

Thank you for contacting Sun Certification Customer Support. We are happy to assist you.

We are looking into your results and will email you when we have the results.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Thank you for choosing Sun products and services.

Sincerely,

Michele Castle"

A week later having heard nothing else I emailed again but got no reply. Then I sent an email to [email protected] and got the following reply.

"Dear Deirdre ,

Thank you for contacting Sun Certification Customer Support. We apologize for our delay processing your assignment and we are happy to assist you.

We received your assignment upload on March 2, 2008.

Your assignment and essay exam are graded together. We are waiting for your essay exam to match with your assignment in the Prometric assignment database.

Due to a technical issue in the Prometric testing system, the two components of your assignment have not matched together. We have escalated this issue with Prometric and expect resolution within five to seven business days.

Once your assignment and essay have matched together, they will be sent to the assessors for grading. The grading processing currently requires approximately four weeks. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance. Thank you for choosing Sun products and services.

Sincerely,

Eric Boice"

I followed up again a week later to make sure they had received the exam (wasn't leaving it to chance again!) and got the following reply last Friday.

"Dear Deirdre,

Your assignment was sent to the assessors for grading on May 16, 2008. We expect the results to be returned in approximately 2 weeks.

We will contact the assessors to see if the grading of your assignment can be expedited. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenienced you have experienced as a result of this delay.

Finally today I checked the https://www.certmanager.net/sun_assignment website and my results were posted!! I passed!! Lost a bit of marks on the locking for some reason. At least after 12 weeks I've finally got my results! So anyone else who is waiting patiently if you haven't heard I'd follow it up! This forum was a great help and thanks to everyone on it.
