The Ranch gets mentioned in this month's Software Development magazine

I was reading this magazine this morning and came across a small article about JavaRanch (page 25 on April 2003 ed Software Development mag).
Said something along the lines of a friendly place for java greenhorns to get their question answered, and also that the ranch gets 1/4 million hits per month.
Sorry if this is old news (but I'm too lazy to search the forum )

You are the first person outside of MO to mention it!

JavaRanch
Learning the high art of coffee-klatsch.
Finally--a site where Java greenhorns can park! Visitors are welcome to pull up a stool with a one-eyed moose at the JavaRanch.com, where you can get your Java questions answered while bartenders keep the peace, and folks are pretty darn friendly. JavaRanch was created in 1997 by trailblazer Kathy Sierra to "help those struggling to learn Java" at a time when references and Java newsgroups were neither ubiquitous nor amiable.
Over the years, the site and its forums have evolved, now featuring advanced content and notable moderators, including best-selling authors, but the Ranch remains true to its mission, "A Friendly Place for Java Greenhorns." Approximately a quarter-million unique visitors check in each month, making JavaRanch one of the most active Java communities on the Web.

Actually I think this post was first. But it's cool to mention it in this forum also.
When it is used for evil, then watch out! When it is used for good, then things are much nicer. Like this tiny ad:
a bit of art, as a gift, that will fit in a stocking
