Howdy, partner.

Welcome to JavaRanch and this forum!
A tip, you are going to get the assignment, and you'll have a lot of doubts about it (but don't worry, they'll look stupid in the end when you have the problem dominated, trust me). After 5 months of work (working on free time), I'm done with the code (I still have to finish the text file documents) and today I can tell you that. This is what they want, and it is normal to have these doubts. The good news is that, all the answers are already here! Take a careful look at the older posts. Most of the answers are there. I found answers to some problems when I was searching for answers to other problems.
Most of the situations you'll face do not have a right or wrong. All you have to do is identify the problem, come up with a solution and say "I'm doing this to solve this problem, and since there is no information about it, I assumed that bla bla bla, and in this context, this is the best solution.". Ah, and also, don't do things that go beyond the requirements. If you're not asked, don't do it. For example, when you get there you'll understand: don't give yourself the work of doing a sortable JTable (you'll search and understand all the work that is behind it). Why? Simply because it was not asked. You won't get extra points for this work, maybe less.
At a first look, it will look difficult, but in the end, you'll see that it is not that hard. I'm sure you'll get there! Good luck and count on us to help you with it!
