IDE usage in SCJD

Can we use Eclipse IDE while programming for the SCJD certification.Is there any suggested IDE that must be used or whether usage of IDE is not allowed

You can use whatever IDE you want, as long as you adhere to the Sun coding guidelines. Personally I am using Eclipse which has a code formatter which formats the code using the Sun coding guidelines. I find this very useful.

I use NetBeans 6.1. it helps me a lot when it comes to refactoring, debugging, compiling, building, etc.

Hello,

you can use any IDE you like to code the assignment, but keep in mind
that you must code all the code yourself: it means you can't for example
use the Netbeans GUI Builder to create the Swing presentation layer.
