If my post contains a quote, followed by some code, whatever is above code disappears when I edit a message. This makes it troublesome to edit a message. Am I doing something wrong?
Consider this post as an example. Here is some quote:

this is a sample quote

And here is some code:

When I click to edit it, the quote is gone!

It's a bug. Personally I almost never see it since I rarely use the repl-with-quote feaure, and I usually indicate quotes with bold tags ([b]) rather than
, for brevity. I suppose we should look into hacking the Perl code that UBB is implemented with. We just tend to hate doing that, as it usually turns out to be much more of a pain in the butt than it seems like it should be.

No, no, no. It is an undocumented feature. Programmers eliminate bugs during testing.
