Hi Ravi,
I don't have any tips as such to tell you. I will tell you how I prepared for the exam and hope it helps you.
The book I read for getting the fundamentals in
Java, and to serve as a basis was 'A Programmer's Guide to Java Certification' bye Khalid and Rasmussen. i've tried other books for learnign Java but, never could get far, before being intimidated by the book. I found the approach followed in this book very helpful, in grasping the subtleties of Java. After reading the essential chapters in this book, I moved onto RHE. I took most of the tests that were available on the net. Dylan Nash's notes was really helpful. It was concise, and yet covered all the topics we need to review before going for the exam.
Also, I found that all he states in his notes(The exam is easier than most of the mock exams, time will not be a problem etc). very accurate. Some of the questions from the mock tests appeared in the exam!!
Hope this helped you. Good Luck to you!!!
