Today, I've completed my SCJP@ with 86%. I would like to thank all the folks at javaranch for the support they've given for preparing for the exam.
As for my preparation, I relied extensively on SimonRoberts& teams' book + Complete Reference by Patrick Naughton for the theoretical backup + Mastering Java2 by John Zukowski for some good coding techniques.
I think i got around 20% by keeping in touch with javaranch.
Thanks,
Venkatraman.

Congrats Venkat!
How do you compare the difficulty of Sun's SCJP2 Exam with mock Exam list given in this site, or any other sample tests you have taken.
Thanks,
regds

Hi, Vanket, Congratulations.. I need some encouragement from you..I have been studying the books, for almost two months now. (Thinking in Java, Core Java, Java2 certifications by Robert & Heller). I tried to attempt some mock tests, i did very bad in some of them, I was planning to appear for test on April 15th, but after these mock tests i am not sure whether i want to go for the test on April 15.
Any advice on preperations, I want to get the certification ASAP...

VJCool75, (75? Paris?)
Don't worry, lot of people probably recognize themselves in you!
It seems the postpone-it syndrom has hit most of us regarding
1st-underestimated-and-suddenly-feared 310-025!
I got the sacred runs after I had almost more wrong answers than good ones on the first Mocks I took! I urgently pulled
all the breaks, and the phone also, to post-pone..
Let's fear not!

Hi I vjcool75 & M.A,
I think marcusgreen's exams come very close to difficulty level of the real exams. But they repeatedly test you about the same concept(for good or bad?).
I think there are several posts in this forum which indirectly ask for answers for the questions from the real exam.( I remember one regarding anonymous inner class ...new ComplexInterface(x) and M.A gave a very good reply about it).
I would request people who'd want some sample questions(not from the real one)to mail me at [email protected]
I did want to include this in my first post, I was really exhausted!!!
Thanks,
Venkatraman.
