Certification qualified me for a career change

Hi All,
Thought I'd let you know how my job search went in Australia. I looked at online job services ( and and went to urls from the employment section of the local paper and sent in a bunch of resumes online.
I had two interviews in a week, one through an employment agency for a specific job and one directly with the employer. Both went well and I took a job with a small e-commerce business near where I live.
I doubt I would have got either interview if I hadn't had the SCJP2 certification. I would definitely recommend it for people who are trying to change fields (I was coming from university research).

I'm currently working in sydney..Wants to shift ino JAVA but most of the employers are asking for 1-2yrs Experience..Where from u get entry level ADs..
