trtrttrrtrtt(hope I got those t&r in right order),
Every wrong answer will cost you close to 2%. So if you get a minimum of 3 questions on those topics it will directly reduce your score by close to 6%. Why not be prepared for 100%? Gridbaglayout and bit operation are easy topics. You can master them in 30 minutes.

Wonder how many more topics you are going to come with! just kidding. I agree that the topics you mentioned are a little boring. I/O is very important though. The topics you have to cover in I/O are, text representation in java, File class, RamdomAccessFile Class, InputStreams, Outputstreams , Readers and Writers. There is a repeatition of a lot of things. Eg. if you read inputstreams then outputstream shouldn't take you long. Same with Readers and writers. You might be able to cover all this in less than and hour.

Dear Friend,
Do you just want to get certified for the namesake? IMO, SCJP is NOT an yardstick for assessing one's understanding of Java language. It only accredits your competency. Certification should be a learning excercise, after getting certified you are 'assumed' to be familiar with ALL the concepts covered in the exam. So please make sure you know everything that is covered, if not for the score, at least it will save your face during an interview.
