Hi all,
I did post this kind of thread to jobs discussion forum too.but as this forum is pretty popular i am using this opportunity
I have experience of 3 and half years but not in s/w field.
will scjp open the gate of opportunity(for India as well as USA at late stage)
?I mean can i look forward for junior programmer's jobs in leading cos. like
TCS,Wipro,HCL etc(For Indian context)???will my resume then carry some weight???
Please put some light...I am now well settled in a govt job..drawing 16000 indian rs.(400 dollars)per month..
I know many of my friends(mainly in indian s/w cos or in abroad)are using this site
and could answer my doubt..
thanks in advance...nm

Hello ..
SCJP will surely help you in entering into the s/w field. If you can clear the test then surely you have some experience. Everyone starts someting new at some time. For you this will be the start. You will be treated as a newcomer in this field but still the change will be great because s/w industry is at Boom at present. You should surely go for the test and then try applyin in s/w companies in India as well as in US.

Hi N
You can certainly switch over to IT. Most Indian companies look for some exposure to IT and good analytical skills for Entry level positions. After SCJP you can even try to get into infosys. I'd suggest you to email to Infosys HRD even now and aske them about ur prospects cos' 2 yrs back (when I was in India), Infosys had started a recruitment drive where people with 4 yrs experience in other fields were being recruited for Entry level positions in Infosys. Offcourse there was an Aptitude test and Interview process.
All the Best to you in ur future endeavours.

You would be much easier to understand if you took that bucket off of your head. And that goes for the tiny ad too!
