Hi there,
Not sure if this has been raised before, but could yall provide a link to the new forum/thread when a thread is moved from one place to another?
Thanks

Well there is a link at the top of the moved thread to the forum that it went to.
However to get to the actual moved topic would be difficult. You can't link to it before you move it because it does not exist yet in the target forum, and the act of moving it locks the topic. All in all that would make for quite a bit of work on the part of the mover.

I provide a direct link sometimes, if I feel like taking the extra time. The fact that the thread is closed isn't a problem - you can re-edit your last post as easily as posting a new reply would have been. But it still takes several more steps: going to the the new forum, finding the new thread, copying a link, going back to the old thread, editing a post, pasting the link, submitting. Especially on my usual slow connection, it rarely seems worth the trouble...
Hmmm... I wonder if we might make a very minor hack to UBB so that the automatic message "This thread was moved to XXX Forum" was at least in a bigger font, and maybe boldface? That shouldn't be too difficult, and would probably help some. I think the current message is a bit too easy to overlook.
