Thanks a lot Archana, that was very nice of u to give the link. But the major conflict here was the passing score which is stated as 71% in sharp contrast to the 61% as mentioned earlier by them. I have send a mail to
Troia Parson- Troia.Parson@central.sun.com
Trish Whitley- Trish.Whitley@Central.Sun.COM
Lets hope they clear the confusion as early as possible.

Has anyone found information like that on the US site. That was the Australian page. Not so much concerned about the pass score, more the $250.00 exam fee on that page.

Please check out the site http://suned.sun.com/USA/certification/progdetails.html
It says 70% passing score
and time still 120 min.
ans fee is refered to the local centers.
I think this confusion and panic should be clearified.

I am realy concerned about the money and time part of the rumoured change.

The second link there is true for now, as that is still how the exam is. October 4th that changes. $250.00 AU is equivalent to $150.00 US, my mention to that was so that people would take notice that the first link is to the Australian page.

hi ahmed,
there are 2 versions of the certification- JDK1.1 and Java2.
what ur referrring to is the JDK1.1 which still has 120 min as the time and the pass score at 70%.
the Java2 certification has 90 min with 61% pass score.
bye

Hi Rahul
Don't panic things won't be so bad as Sun Microsystems has guranteed that the difficulty level has been kept the same. Thanks Vivek for clearifying on my mistake.
And I am sure swing is still not part of the exam obejectives
As is clearly mentioned in the news about change and also the exam objectives page still shows the same stuff.
So lets wish good luck to all of us who are going for the new exam soon.
