Thanks Javaranch, I cleared the exam with 85%.
This is such a nice and friendly place, I should say the best place for an SCJP aspirant..
Well, I came to know of this site after doing a little bit of search, and now all my friends who are thinking of taking up the exam are greenhorns of the ranch! Well, after I got here, Maha's page and MarcusGreen's site were the only other bookmarks I ever needed ! You are doing a great job, Maha, Ajith, Rahul, Jim, everybody... keep up the good job..
An architect by education and now a homemaker by profession
now I have started thinking about the Developers exam..I know I have to learn a lot more for that...Will be hanging around in that forum too now onwards..
I wish everybody preparing for the exam good luck, too...

Hi Vidya
Congrats and All the best. Really nice to hear that you are an Architect by profession as I myself is one. I have gotten into self study of prgraming begining straight with java..I plan to go for the certification soon. I attempted once a couple of months ago but failed. Now I understand the concepts a little beter. Anyway..the whole idea of this post is to share with somebody (who is also from a different background) the issues that are there for people like us.
I once put a post with the title SCJP for non programming background
So congratulations again and one thing I wanted to know was which version of the exam you got.
If it was the new one please tell us about it.
