Hi All
I cleared the exam today with 91%. Feeling great relief, as I got the % as per expectations.
I joined the group last week only, but found very useful. My special thanks to Vivek, as he provided me the link to read Thread topics, as I was not confident on thread, and you know, I got 100% in Thread. Also my thanks to all of the group members.
I would like to share my experience.
Concentrate on fundmentals. Don't have to remeber much except for the classes which are clearly mentioned in the exam objectives.
Take as many mock exams as you can. This is very handy. If you want to score high, take atleast 20 mock exam. The following link gives you 40 mock exams. Hope this will help you.

Time is crucial factor now after it has been reduced.I feel i missed (got wrong)few questions in hurry.
For any further help, contact me without hesitation.

congrats mukesh ! why don't you mention the kind of pattern you encountered for benefits of others ? YOu can do it without revealing the actual exam question & without voilating the norms of the forum.
otherwise you please mail me the pattern at following e - mail add.:

bye regards

Hi Jeban,
Thanks.
The following link has discussion on Thread. http://www.javaranch.com/maha/Discussions/Threads/threads.html
Raghav, frankly speaking I don't remeber the exact break up. But I can assure you , most questions are on Language basics. Tha packages, which are mentioned in the objective i.e. java.lang.Math, java.util etc. contains less wieghtage. Around two questions per package, I guess.
Thread I got 5-6 questions.
I/o - 2-3 questions.
String & String Buffer - 3-4
AWT - 3-4
java.util - 2
java.Math - 2
Hope this will help.
Mukesh

I guess many people have fear about change in exam pattern. So let me share my experience.
In the new exam, most (75-80%) questions are code based, not sure what was % of code based quest. The syllabus (objectives) is same. Also, for the multiple answer questions, you are told the exact numbers to be selected. I found this very useful, infact it makes life easier than before. One has to be careful about time, though it is more than sufficient.About no of questions, I have already mention whatever I could remember, in my earlier reply (see above)
Hope this will be useful.
