No. The overriding method in subclass can't have different return type.
The one in subclass can have
- SAME OR MORE access level modifier
- same return type
- same methodName
- same number,type and order of parameters
- same or subclass of the Exceptions thrown by the Exceptions thrown by the super class method
- can throw Runtime Exceptions not thrown by the super class method
- can throw Errors not thrown ny superclass method.
