hi friends
ohh what a relief after clearing the exam. i cleared with a score of 76%.. I would like to thank the makers of this fantastic site, my Boss Mr. Sriram who encouraged me to give this exam, and my friend leena who helped me lot..I really thank her...
Anyway i would like to share my experience. which i feel really helps to those who will be appearing for the exam..
I read lots of tutorial specieally Marcus Greens tutorial. It really helps in understanding the nitty-gritty of the java language.
I gave lots of mock exams which i found through sites like
www.jchq.com,
javaranch.com/maha( u will get many other sites from here)
javaprepare.com
if u can score more than 75% in marcus greens mock exam, I feel u r ready to give SCJP exam.
Threading questions are quite complicated.
concentrate more on overriding, overloading and specially Static varibles and static methods..they ask lots of question from these topics..
Java.io is also a very important package, I got more questions from this topic than my expectations.
I found only one question from garbage collection.
There are around 85% code based questions which are not very lengthy, few question are lengthy in this case i used to read the answers first and try to match them with the gives lines of code,if i find any error on those lines that means that is the answer, but don't follow this strictly because this is risky..
Questions are not very tricky..I feel they are easier than marcus greens mock exam..
Download JQuest.zip. This is an exam simulator and contains few
very good questions.
thanx and good luck all of you.
