for e.g., I need to ask something like..
(psuedo syntax)
print("Enter the maximum value?")
Read(Value)
What is the correct java syntax for the "Read" line? What is the datatype of the value that will be read by this line?
TIA for ur help.

yes, can you pl. explain that again? I am looking for specific help in reading integer values in a loop to fill up a matrix. The program prompts the user to enter a value, and then it reads the value.
Thanks

Thanks a lot pal ;-)
I just saw the other message posted by you. If you are around, just stick around. Remember what brought you here, Java. And don't let a bunch of jerks drive you away. I may not be an ace in Java, but your tips certainly helped me, which means you have something in you that is pissing those other two guys off. The only way to beat them is to show them what you are made of!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
