Hi,
I have seen the term RHE several times in this forum...what does it refer to?
Cheers,
Si.

Ah ha.
The very book I am reading. Is it generally thought of as being a good resource for the SCJP exam?

Most people around here think it's one of the best. It's the one I've been using. I find the writing to be very clear and the cover the topics pretty thoroughly. I've found though that they don't cover a lot of the topics as deeply as you'll need to know them for the exam. Also, their mock exam on the cd-rom will give you a false sense of security the real test is harder than that!
They've got a new edition out which I think may have a mock that is closer to the real thing but I don't have it so I can't say for sure.

I am intrigued by your statement that the RHE tester us not as hard at the real SCJP exam.
I actually started out going through the, exam supporting, self paced tutorial from Sun on a set of 3 cd's.
I scored roughly 70% or higher on all the test questions.
However when I first tried the tester in RHE I faired much more poorly.
So, if RHE is still not up to the standard of the exam, where should I look to get to the right level?
Cheers,
Si.

Hello,
Whoops, sorry I didn't mean to cause a commotion.
1) How do I change my user name?
2) Why does the registration process not validate the name as per the rule you mentioned?
Cheers and sorry for any inconviniene.
Simon Cockayne.

No problem Simon. You actually can't change your name without re-registering. And we don't have all the proper validation becuase this is UBB software that we don't have the full control of.

Thanks for fixing it though,
Bill

I hear the RHE study guide (NOT the new one) has some errors. Can someone please point to a webpage or something where I can find a list of these?
Thanks.

Unfortunately our software is not quite intelligent to enforce naming policy. You cannot change your name either. Simply create a new name that complies with the naming policy and we will take care of cleaning up your old account.
Thanks!
