I just screwed up somebody's post I was editing.
I was just adding a couple of returns in the UBB "code" section to prevent horizontal scrolling. When I confirmed the edit, I was shocked to find that a large portion of the original message had disappeared. It was some quoted text and some other text around it that went Poof!
I was able to reproduce the problem in a test post. A quoted section followed by a few code sections with some text between the sections is all you need.
Any ideas how to prevent or fix this problem?

It is a known UBB bug. We could upgrade to a newer version, I suppose.

Thanks Thomas,
now I'm aware of it, I'll avoid editing such posts. Thanks for the confirmation that I wasn't dreaming it all.
