Hi,
Can anybody tell me in layman's language what FP-strict is?
Thanks!

According to JLS : 5.1.8 Value Set Conversion -
For an FP-Strict expression, if the value is of type float and is not an element of the float value set, then the implementation must map the value to the nearest element of the float value set and in case of a non FP-Strict expression, it is mapped to the nearest float/double-extended-exponent valid set.
Could somebody please explain "float/double-extended-exponent valid set"?
