When a class implements an interface, is this considered inheritance?
If not what is it considered or called?

Yes it does consider inheritance , also use of interfaces provide a multiple inheritance and very robust applications. Because you can later upcast to them very usefull.

It is interface inheritance. When you extend a class, it's called implementation inheritance.
