To all those who mailed me for the Vouchers,
I am deeply moved by your response for helping me out with the voucher. But I am still trying to find answer for ur no response after I mentioned the voucher amount. I guess I have not quoted more price for it. Its the price that I paid for. I have the receipt for the voucher.
I wanted to sell the voucher as I was in a real fix. But I guess good things never happen in life and we Indians have got such a good habit of just abruptly ending the mail without any responses!!! I mean when u people have any matter with the money part, please mention it and please respect the person posting message by mentioning ur refusal to it. That way the people in need will understand the problem and will not wait, hoping for some help!
This especially goes to Bhakti Soman and Sanjeeva Verma, please have the courtesy to reply if u do not want the voucher. Let this be a learning phase for good programmers, to be a good human beings!!!
Thanking you all for the patient hearing!

I assume that something happened that got you upset and its related to the voucher. I agree that people should have told you that they are not interested if they were in conversation with you.
But similarly you offended my sentiments/emotions by saying

we Indians have got such a good habit of just abruptly ending the mail without any responses!!!

I understand that you have freedom of speech and you had some experince which made you express your thoughts in a particular way but then generalizing or blaming a whole community for the experince you have with few individuals might not be a good idea either.

Vivek,
Do you know how many thousands of people that you just chewed out??? We certainly could not have ALL responded to you. So if we could not help, we just didn't say anything.
I am sorry that you had a problem with selling your voucher. But I don't think all these people should be made to feel guilty about it.
Since your post on Feb 6 did not mention either of the particular folks that you mentioned, I must assume that they were in e-mail communication with you. In that case it would NOT have been appropriate for them to post refusals here. Perhaps they might have chosen to e-mail you, but frankly, you were SELLING something. I certainly do not feel obligated, every time I e-mail a vendor to ask a price on something, to write back and say no thanks.

Gaurav and Cindy,
Thanks a lot for ur responses. I respect u folks!!!
The things which comes up in the mind when one feels disgusted is not something which could be explained in simple words. I was upset and that was the reality and the other reality was I was in deep trouble!!!
Well, that thing about the Indians is my experience and as I stay in Mumbai, it seems to get a bit worse day by day.
I am sorry if I have hurt ur feelings. I am really sorry Gaurav!
And Cindy well, I guess u said it right. Thanks!!
Thanks once again folks,
vivek

gautam,
You don't have to go away just cuz you get your degree and your class is over.
If you were clever enough to use this as a resource for your students , then you probably have lots to offer the java community.
Hope to see you around soon.
Cindy
