Hi Avinash,
Well the answer is simple ! Take the exam when you feel you are
confident enough to take it. And to gain confidence you need to
come to Javaranch site more often. Share your querries..
Tinker around questions posted. And you will come a winner.
Ravindra Mohan.

I heard that they give all the easy questions during the first part of the day and then later when all the easy ones are used up, they give the hard ones.

Hi Thomas,
I dont quite agree with you. From what I have heard is that
prometric downloads a person's test well before the person
actually takes the test. And the examinee is informed about
of the scheduled time as the availability of slots with
the testing center.

Some of you guys have to lighten up. You know, take a joke, this isn't work, or school for that matter. Have fun, while you're studying.

Sean,
Is it a amusement park?
So that people can have fun.
What I wanted to ask is whether it makes any difference to individual performance depending on the time of the day.
In the morning you are fresh so your performance may be good.
I never asked whether questions are simple or hard depending on the time. This is ridiculous
I didn't know that this a fun loving crowd here.
I heard very good things about Java Ranch.
But I think this might a circus where people share there view for fun
Thanks a lot guys.

Listen Avinash,

I'm here to help. Java is fun. If you're not having fun with it, then I don't know why you're here. No this is not an amusement park. This is a forum, a java forum for that matter. People come here to ask questions to learn. I've passed my scjp2 with the help of javaranch, and that is why I come back - to help others. Remember this is a java forum, when you ask questions that don't pertain to java, like when we'll you be at your best, then you have to be prepared for any response, albeit serious or ridiculous. To find an answer to your question of individual performance, perhaps you could visit a forum that focuses on human behaviour, I'm not aware of any though. I understand that this may be a tense time for you, as you prepare for your exam, but try to have fun.

Avinash, You are taking Sean and Thomas's comments in a totally wrong way. It was just a joke, which was not meant to hurt you. Did you not see the emoticon after Thomas's post???
You said that you never wanted to ask about the java questions. Also, I assume that you are quite educated person. You must have taken a lot ( and I mean a LOT) of exams in the past. Have you still not figured out what time of the day is best for you???
Frankly speaking, your's was a rather childish question and the responses were quite appropriate. You are needlessly getting mad.
Have fun.
Dinesh.

Sean,
Yeah, I am tense because of my exam.
I don't come here to have fun.
There are so many other places to have fun or reduce the tension.
Why should one come to Java ranch for that?
I have a sincere question.
If you find my qustion ridicuolus then forget it.
Well I don't need your help if you can not answer properly.
It is always better to preach.
Thanks Mohan, I think yours was a right advice.
Rest are happy making fun of Java and Java Ranch Forum.
Thanks.
Have fun.

Avinash,
Remember I never gave you a ridiculous reply. I was only trying to help you. If you're looking for an apology, you're not going to get it. Why do you study Java and come to JavaRanch? I come here because I have fun learning and helping others. This isn't a tense place. If you have a question about Java, I'd be glad to help you. You're question about personal performance is just that personal, so you're bound to get opinionated answers. Personally, I took the exam at 11 A.M.. I'm not sure if my performance would have been different if I took the exam at 5:55 P.M.. I'm here to have fun, but I don't have fun at the expense of others. I believe the strength of Java Ranch is the people that visit here, having fun, helping others. I hope you see that too.

Can't anyone take a joke? Are programmers not permitted to take things a little lightly? If you go into the test as tense as you seem now you are sure to screw it up.
The fact is that the question is a bit silly. Everyone is different as to when they are at their best. Some people are morning people (not me!) while others function best later in the day. The best time to take the test is when you are ready to take the test.
If you don't like that answer then the best time to take the test is 4:17 AM GMT.

Avinash,
Don't get upset. I don't think anyone here have any bad intentions. In contrast to java exam questions, your question is quite open so they just can reply with open answers. It'll be different for different people. e.g. For people working/studying on night shift and sleep at day time, then afternoon or evening may be their most refresh time.

Hi Avinash,
Just saw the answers to ur question. Cool Yaar. We are just joking.
You might me knowing that questions are picked for a exam randomly by the computer so for computer there is no morning and no evening. It is only for us.
So whichever time u feel u r at best during the day GO ahead !!!.
There will be no partiality if u take exam in the morning or in the evening.
Once agail COOL DOWN and Take It Easy.
