I have heard that the SCJP and some other certification exams will be discontinued from some Asian countries in which Pakistan is also included by August 2001.
Can I have a prominent information regarding the above.
Please clarify.

The only reliable source that can confirm this "news" is the Sun Educational Services itself. Try contacting your local representatives of Sun Ed, or their offices in the US.

I'll regard that as unsubstantiated rumor till I see evidence.

I posted this message after getting information from difference sources in Karachi with surety and I think this is more than a rumour.
Mr Ajith suggestion is much better to get this infomration out from an authenticated source. Let's try to contact 'em out. this would be better than to sit and take rest by considering it as a rumour.
I also hope so as Mr Marcus Green mentioned for the positive result. But if this happens this will be the great loss on part of people here as there is very hot activities going on for the said certifications.
In the meanwhile let's confirm.
Still would like to hear some other persons about it.
Thanks for your prompt messages.

Why would they do that???
The only possible reason I could think of is that there are too many certified for the Pakistanian market.
For myself there were pakistanian ressources which helped me to understand.
In the office next door there are two german so called "project - managers" who even do not know the basics of Visual Basics programming, earn a lot of money and really believe that they are able to manage IT-Projects.
(Don't worry they don't manage me. I manage myself.)
I think it does not help anybody if I say that this is not fair. But I would like to stay informed.

Part of the reason I will consider it rumor till confirmation is that I can think of no sensible reason why they would do this and I have not seen anyone else suggest why they would do it.
