Hi,
I have some experience in java. I am thinking to take SCJP, how long should I prepare? Can you suggest the books I can refer?
What are the topics we have to concentrate more?
Thanks,
Vanitha

The books i refered to are Patrick Naughton's Java 2
The Complete Reference and the certification guide by
Robert, Heller and Ernest(RHE).GO thru the Guide and
do as many mock exams as possible till you feel confident
to appear for the real one. Java Ranch is the best place to
stop by every day, especially this forum.

Hi Vanitha,
That's a tough one - "to each his own"!! I'd myself posted a query "How much is enough" a few days ago. I've been mailny following "A programmer's Guide to Java certification " by Khalid A. Mughal & Rasmussen. Found it really good. But how good the exam will tell!! + Bill Brogden's Exam Cram. Follow links on various mock exams provided on this site. I find answering qs. reinforces the concepts much more rather than reading multiple books.
Hope ur able to find what suits u best.
