This has probably come up loads of times, some seem to think that overloading is polymorphism, i reckon its overriding.
What does the SUN exam want as an answer to the question?

The exam objectives only require you to know the difference between overloading and overriding. The answer to whether overloading is polymorphism has been discussed before and you will get slightly different and perhaps conflicting answers depending on who you ask with some saying that it is, some saying that it isn't, and some saying (including myself) that it "kind of" is.

Hi Jim.
Patric Naughton, memeber of the original Sun Microsystems project team taht developed Java, says in his book about Overloading that,

"Method overloading is one of the ways that java implements polymorphism".
I think if you dig the details about overloading you will agree with his statement.
Regards,
Hassan.
