Hi All,
How is Amber compared to vis-a-vis Web Start.Though I haven't used it , still it seems it works faster than web start, doesn't download all the source code, works without any additional software...these are the pros...would like to know abt the cons..

Hi Hema,
Its a open-source java build tool like Ant which basically makes building, packaging, distributing, and managing Java based projects.Amber significantly enhances web-centric applications by providing a sophisticated, functional graphical user interface directly in the browser.
For starters u can follow these links..

Sounds like the only place they overlap is in distribution.

Rishi,
Thanks for the info. I am yet to look into Amber. Not sure of the comparisons with Webstart yet.
