Hi there, I've been given an intermittent error message to try and decipher, where a colleague of mine sometimes cannot launch one of our applications. The error message is (wrapped for html):

I've tried a google search on CreateProcess "error 3", but couldn't seem to find anything useful. Has anyone seen similar error messages
Thanks, Neil

This part shows that JavaWebStart tried to or did cache the jre 1.3.0_02. Is this the version your application requests to be run on? If this version is installed on the computer where the error occures then JavaWebStart does not know of it.
IMHO this error is caused by the (wrong/partial) configuration of JavaWebStart. I for my part am always running into problems whith the default configuration of JavaWebStart concerning the available JRE locations. The default config file is javaws/javaws.cfg, but this gets copied to the user home and adjustments made through the admin gui are stored there. It might help to put the jre locations into the main config file and remove the config file in the user home.
Or, get 1.4.1 which includes JavaWebStart. and try to install it from scratch. (but that might not solve the config problem)
