Hello,

I want to distribute my application from a website via JNLP/WebStart.

Can anyone explain what I need to do in order to achieve this and also, can anyone recommend any web hosts that support JNLP.

Thank you.

Look in a tutorial on Sun's web site or do MSN search to find other tutorials. I went this way and created web started app really fast. Two things took some time for me are figuring out how to sign jars especially if some of them already signed by some vendor. However it can be not problem for you unless your app needs full permission.
There is nothing specific required for hosting web started app, at least it worked even in case when web server didn't provide MIME type for jnpl file because popular browsers can figure.
As an example of jnpl you can look at http://7bee.j2ee.us/mediachest/MediaChest.jnlp
