After authenticating on a website, I have a link to an applet that I launch using web start on IIS and I pass in the ASPSessionID as an argument in the JNLP. In the applet I set the connection to use the passed in session id.

connection.setRequestProperty("cookie", sessionID);

The problem is, when I call the ASP through connection.getInputStream(); the ASP does not have access to the authenticated session variables. What am I doing wrong?

Basically I have a website and want to be able to launch applets & applications without having to re-authenticate for each - I want them all to share the same session.
