I remember I read that setting the clip strictly to the rectangle that needs repaint makes the painting process faster. Making a simple test I found out that setting a clip makes painting slower unless some other things (shapes) to be painted are entirely outside the clip (I assume that a simple test exclude these shapes from painting, thus making it faster).
Can anyone tell me if I'm wrong?
This means that, if I need to paint, let's say, just one image then, setting the clip to match it's position, will make the painting slower (?).
And another thing: how about the component's boundary - is there a clip set to match it, disallowing us to paint outside it?
