I need to display some realtime data on a web-based application. The data has to be accurate to the tune of 0.25 seconds (ideally). As such, refreshing the page is out of question. What is the best way to do this? The data is read from XML feeds.
In the worst case, it is possible to make it a non-web-based application (i.e., stand-alone app). Would this help me in anyway?
Thanks
Ajay

An Applet, I would suggest.
Once you have the applet loaded in the web-client, fetching one or a number of values/arguements and updating the display should be sufficient for real time applications.
There are a number of online trading sites (Indian markets) using applets for realtime display of indexes, trends and moveemnts.
HTH,
Ashok.
