I'm trying to use HAT (JavaTM Heap Analysis Tool)
I have started the HAT and the message says Server is ready
But when I try to run a java program with net option I get the error
C:\myjava>java -Xrunhprof:net=localhost:7000,format=b TestClass
HPROF ERROR: can't connect to localhost:7000
Thanks

How are you starting HAT? Can you start HAT at some other port and then try connecting to it?

Unfortunately, I've never really used the heap analysis tool, so I can't help offhand. But please take a look at our display name policy and edit your display name to include a first and last name. A single letter for the last name isn't quite enough for us. Thanks.
