That's a very broad question which can't be answered generally, I think.
What exactly do you want to measure, and why?

Hi, Ilja...
I have programs that interact with databases and i have a lot of questions about performance of Java based applications against C applications. Im a Java entusiastic and i want to compare the performance in access to Oracle Database in these cenarios (C & Java programs).

In scenarios running against databases, it is usually the distributed call overhead that dominates the time taken. So you wouldn't really be comparing Java vs C.
You can trace JDBC interface calls with a number of tools, for example P6Spy
