Hey Guys,
Hopefully I am posting this in the right forum.
I was wondering, what are all the different member levels at JavaRanch and how are they determined.
I used to be a green horn, then I think when I completed 50 posts, I got 'upgraded' to Ranch Hand. But that's about all I know...
What is the significance of these levels?
Thank You in advance for your replies.

A greenhorn is cowboy slang for someone who is new.
After 31 posts you automatically get upgraded to Ranch Hand.
Other Moderators nominate new Bartenders.
The Trail Boss (Paul Wheaton) picks new Sheriffs.
Some of the folks who have written books and stayed around to help have been given "Author" titles.
You can buy a unique title for yourself if you go to the Donations page.

In order to be sheriff you must have been mentioned in People magazine's list of the sexiest people alive.
