Hi,

Intel's latest Xeon CPUs with huge 2nd level caches (e.g. Xeon64 with 8MB 2nd) are up to $8000 more expensive than CPUs clocked at the same speed with 1MB 2nd level cache (see Dell's configurator for example).

Does anyone have experiences/benchmark if these extra $$$ are worth it in typical J2EE application scenarios (DB on different server)?

Gracias :-)
