how to measure performance???

+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
Hi,

First question in this forum.

How to measure/monitor performance of any web project? Might be a basic question but couldn't find FAQ for this forum.

Thanks.

There are many profilers that are available for monitoring the performance of a web application(Ex: JProfiler and many more). Lately, AOP is also being used for profiling applications.

Hi,

As the previous poster mentioned - there are many profilers out there.

You can find alot of good information about profiling and performance
tuning on this webpage: www.javaperformancetuning.com

JAMon is a popular profiler
made for J2EE apps (incl. servlets ect). YourKit is another
popular, but more general, jave profiler.
