Hi Ranchers,
I am quite eager to know how the set-up of Production enviroment for any application, database etc.. required for the system is done.
We all know how to efficiently build an applicaiton using various IDE's. And also when we test the system at the development enviroment it works at speed of light. But in real time when application has to support 1000's of users simultaneously lots of issue of transcations, pool size issues and others happen.
So I want to know is there any site/source/book to know about how to set-up Production enviroment.
Its a very generic question I have asked, but I suppose all these issue are common to all.

Looking for some valuable responses ..

I'd guess each of the container products has its own quirks. I've only used WebSphere and I know IBM has tons of resources for configuring and tuning all kinds of things.

I don't think you mean "real time". This phrase has a very specific meaning in computing: FOLDOC's definition. Java systems generally are not real-time; one thing that makes it hard is Java's pauses for GC.

I think you may mean "real world".
