JAMon for standalone Java application?

Can JAMon can be used for standalone Java application?
I saw few articles about using JAMon to monitor Web application.

Yes.

You can either print the monitors to a log file, write the report as an html file (MonitorFactory.getReport() returns an html table of the results), or get the raw data in the form of an Object[][] and display that in any way you want. These examples follow:

Of course if you are in a web environment you can simply use jamon.war to display the statistics.
