Hi everybody,

I have an problem. I am developing the java program for Windows Mobile which is working under Mysaify JVM (http://www2s.biglobe.ne.jp/~dat/java/project/jvm/index_en.html)

Everything is nice but file reading works so slow

The 270 kBytes file is read during 30 seconds.

I tried different file reading methods but result is the same.

Maybe someone faced with this problem?

When you say "file reading" do you mean a local file on the same device or reading over the wireless network connection?

Does that JVM support zipped file reading?

I suspect the delay is not in reading a local file but in the processing of the data - especially if this is an XML document.

If this was my problem I would experiment with timing just the simplest possible read, discarding the data.

With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
