Is there a place here to go for help with portals? I am trying to use jetspeed2 but am running into some set-up problems and i am wondering if there are people on here using this?

The best thing to do is subscribe to the user / developers mail lists.

I got loads of good information from there.

Send a blank email to:

jetspeed-user-subscribe@jakarta.apache.org - Subscribe to the user list
jetspeed-dev-subscribe@jakarta.apache.org - Subscribe to the developer's list

"Lemon Grass", please see Mark's post above. Accounts with invalid display names get deleted, often without warning

I can't even seem to log into the jetspeed2 login portlet, i just got the binary up and running. I am guessing that the login allows me to manage what portlets get deployed and whatnot. I see logins left and right for old versions but nothing from v2. Any words of wisdom....

Geez... I would have hated to see what would happen to my friend Lemon Jello (pronounced Laymon j-lo) if he was a developer, he'd have been kicked off the site for using his real name!!!

Re: User logins

Try admin/admin - I think that works OK.

You're right, we do occasionally run in to problems! Thanks though, we appreciate it.

So are you having sucess with Jetspeed 2? I was just out at the Apache web site reading through the documentation and it seems kind of half baked, so I would like to know if anyone has had any sucess using it.
