Fresher in Portal

hi
i am new to Portal / Portlet..

i have some knowledge on JSP / Servlet and know what Struts and EJB are.

with this knowledge
1) will it be wise enough to get on to a Portal project or
2) can i work on J2EE project for next 6 months and can i take up the portal project..

ppls told me that Portal / Portlet is high funda, so i felt by working on some J2EE project and then come back to Portal project..

what your say guys....

Normally one does not create new web applications in Portal projects. The emphasis is on integration and content aggregation.

Hi,

I think if do one complete project in J2EE and if have the sound idea about
J2EE, JSP, Servlet, EJB, WebSphere then you can start learning WebSphere Portal. Yes, pple are right Portal is really high funda and now lots of
company, bank are approching towards this.
The IBM Portal Infocenter is best start for to learn Portal.

I am new to thiz grougs. I hav finished DOT NET course as a real time course, but i havnt done any project n all. Am a fresh candidate

From this 4edge can I work well in an MNC'S environment.
