Hello,

I am porting a web app to Liferay 4.0 but I would like to consider other (open source) Portal too before a (short or long term) commitment.

Any good / bad experience? Suggestions? Moreover, I would like to know if anyone has tips for setting up a load testing environment for Liferay. I found this academic paper http://epubs.cclrc.ac.uk/work-details?w=34487 but I would like to know if there's anything else available.

Cheers,

Renato

Liferay is a good option , but before you go any further , take a look at 3 other open source portal system.

Sun Microsystem Portal at : portal.dev.java.net
StringBeans portal at : www.nabh.com
and certainly Exo portal at : www.exoplatform.org

I have experiences with stringBeans and i think it is a good portal after all.easy to setup , very easy to manage , the feature set and pre-bundled portlet make it a good choice.

Hi
In case that you find any bug in exo portal , you may report those bug to exo team.

portal 1.2 is enough stable and you can use it for your project in case that you select to use EXO ,
by the way i think you can check StringBeans portal too .
