deployed Spring portlets on Liferay?

hi,
i am trying to deploy spring portlets on liferay 4.1.x.
theoritically they(interface21) say it should work but has any one really done it.?
if yes how?
could you describe the procedures you went through to do it.
if any one could link me with url tutorial that describes how that would be very nice.
