Hey, some shameless self-promotion here.

I just put together a new website full of portlet tutorials. What do you get when you merge JSR 168 portlets with free online tutorials? Well, I figured portorials was a good name, so I registered it, and now it points to my site:

www.portorials.com

Anyways, it's a list of multimedia tutorials, starting off with the installation of a JetSpeed2 portal server on XP, to standard portlet creation with notepad and the JDK, all the way to advanced portlet concepts such as PortletPreferencesValidators and portlet action processing.

There's all sorts of sample code do download, and the tutorials are full multimedia, so you can pause, fast forward, and from what people tell me, the mute capability is pretty awesome too.

There's even some free, mock portal certification exam simulations for IBM portlet development tests 399 and IBM Exam 829.

Hope this can help some peolple harness the power of the portal.
