Please help me to resolve this problem. See we have to make a service in java, that should be displayed in the windows NT servecies( in control panel) . The service should be implemented in such away that we can start and stop it from NT services( Like JRun). That services should be running on a particular port (Like JavaWebServer) and further more we can control ( stop and start ) that service remoetly( through a web page as well as some java based application . Like when we run java web server we can start and stop the web server through the web page ( administrator web page running on port 9090). In java how we can make such kind of service. Give me some brief details . Waiting for your response.

We did this. You need to write the NT service in C/C++ then use JNI to invoke the VM and run your Java service using the invocation API.
