How to validate email address  RSS feed

Any body can help me in validating the email address entered by an user from an applet. I want to check email address is existing one on a mentioned domain.

You can try sending a "finger" request. If the server supports it and has "finger" enabled it can be a good way to validate email addresses. If not, you'll probably have to send an email and wait for a confirmation reply.

I wrote a tool to do this. It is still in beta mode so not completely bug free yet. It verifies the email address checking for valid syntax, domain and user information. You can download the beta version of JVerify at http://www.jscape.com
