I have develpoed a chat server and an applet client. Applet creates a socket for the communication. When i open the applet in the brouser it shows [ com.ms.security.SecurityException ] and applet open blank. But if i start the appletviewer then the application works perfectly. I know what the problem is but i could not solve. The problem is of the security options of my brouser . I'm using IE 5.5. If any can please help me setting the security option of my bouser properly.
Anyone please help me .
Thanks in advance.

Hi Kapil

Go to tools -> internet options
Select Security tab ->chose internet or intranet zone whatever applicable-> click on custom level button. Then security settings tree will come up.
There you should be able to see java
out of check boxes given there-> select custom settings
another popup will come .
->Select Edit Permissions tab and ->set the options you'd see over to enable.

after this click ok on all the pop ups lined up in the process
->restart your browser.
Things should be working.
Enjoy...
