Dear Ersin,
U r correct in saying that we are here for the book.
But u know, the book can't just be won by being here. U have to have business to be here. Or else u r nobbody.
so, while we question and answer between us, prepare the book for us.
and, what all unanswered questions do you have for this forum.. would you please start shooting them... for open discussions ??
regards
raghav..

I think the "why" implement it in Java (to answer the prior poster before me ) is simple - Why not write it in Java?
Take TinyFugue (a program for interfacing with MU* sites). Yeah, it works great... but only on my system here at home. What if I'm over at a friend's and want to log in quickly? Why not make it an applet?
There's always going to be applications that need internet access, and not just ports of things that can be done with C/C++/VB/whathaveyou....

The reason my company and I have chosen Java for such things is so that we can use our code on any machine we have. We have many applications on several OS's. We use Java so that we can talk between them in an easier fashion. Sure we could use C but it would take longer to get someone up to speed with Network programmin in C rather than Java.

Certainly it covers important topics.
How much covered on Security issues? Security issues always connected to Network .
Thanks
